The following utilities and services are provided to our community.
Trash Dumpsters
Peacock Hill offers community dumpsters where you can dispose of household waste as well as recycling. There are a few rules that we expect our homeowners to abide by. Firs, only dispose of items that fit inside the dumpsters. Oversized items that do not fit in the dumpsters must be disposed of at additional cost from the disposal company. This increased cost must be borne by all of the homeowners. Second, we have gotten bear proof dumpsters with metal doors and steel spring loaded locks. These dumpsters must be locked at all times to prevent the bears from breaking in and making a mess of the site. Again, additional cleanup increases disposal cost that must be borne by the homeowners.
Water and Sewer
Well water service is provided to all homes within Peacock Hill. While the well water is safe for drinking, some treatment such as filtering for particles/sediment and softening will be required at each household. Some houses in the neighborhood are connected to a common sewage system. Other houses contain self contained septic tank and drain fields. This system is managed by the Peacock Hill Servicing Company. Click on the link to learn more.
Environmental Preservation Board
The Environmental Preservation Board (EPB) regulates the external design, appearance, use, location, and maintenance of properties and of improvements in such a manner as to preserve and enhance values, maintain a harmonious relationship among structures and the natural vegetation and topography; and to conserve existing natural amenities and ecologically sensitive areas.
