To invite a neighbor from the app, select the menu, then select 'Invite neighbor'. You must enter their email address.
The new resident should soon receive an email inviting them to create an account with TownSq. Once it is approved by a board member, they can login.
If you are trying to invite a neighbor and having trouble, you can also submit a request to the HOA board instead.
Managing Notifications
Most notifications are customizable. If you go to menu, then "Edit Profile", then "Notifications", you can change how you receive notifications. You can turn off push notifications for certain categories.
Announcements
To create an announcement, from the menu, go to "News & events", then "Announcements", and click the "+" button. Announcements should be for information that is timely and relevant to the entire neighborhood. A notifications will by default send an email and push notification to all users. It's commonly used to notify of waterline work, for example.
Forum Posts
Forums can be accessed by clicking on "View HOA discussions" from the main menu, or clicking the menu button and then "Forum". You can create a new topic by clicking the "+" button, or you can comment on existing items. Users are not notified of new or updated forum topics unless they are actively participating.
HOA Requests
You can send messages directly to the HOA board, which are private and can only be seen by you and the board. From the main menu click "Contact HOA", or click the menu button, then click "Requests", then "+" or "Create request".
This is the preferred method of contacting the board, as it allows them to more easily track and discuss the issue.
